If you're in the mood for a delightful culinary experience tucked away within the vibrant Scienceworks museum, look no further than Scienceworks - The Cafe. Located at 2 Booker St, Spotswood VIC 3015, this cafe isn’t just a pit stop; it’s a charming culinary haven that caters to both curious minds and hungry tummies.

The cafe has a unique appeal, seamlessly blending a fun, educational setting with a thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates fresh, wholesome ingredients. With dishes inspired by various culinary influences, you can expect everything from hearty grain bowls to quick, kid-friendly snacks. For instance, the standout chicken rice bowl serves up a delicious medley of kimchi, edamame, grated beetroot, and carrot, all atop a bed of nutty wholegrain rice. Your taste buds will dance with joy as you savor the freshness and vibrant flavors, even if you choose to enjoy it cold, just like Lisa did in her glowing review.

Imagine taking a break from exploring the engaging exhibits and indulging in one of their artisanal coffees. The mocha, as one delighted customer noted, is a must-try—rich, creamy, and perfectly sweetened with just a hint of raw sugar. It’s the kind of drink that warms your soul and lifts your spirits, especially after a long day of learning and adventure.

However, it's worth noting that the cafe can get quite busy during peak hours, which may lead to higher wait times, as Celaena pointed out. While the basics like chips and nuggets may leave you wanting a touch more sauce, the standout soy chicken bowl showcases the kitchen's potential for delicious fare. Despite a few hiccups, the overall vibe is welcoming and casual, making it a perfect stop for families and friends who want to refuel before diving back into the world of science.

So, whether you're wandering the nearby exhibits, juggling kids who need quick bites, or simply looking for a cozy place to unwind, Scienceworks - The Cafe promises a solid selection of food that feels surprisingly elevated for a spot within a children’s attraction. Don't miss out; come for the caffeine, stay for the uplifting atmosphere, and leave with a satisfied palate!

Pretty good food. I had a chicken rice bowl with kimchi, edamame, grated beetroot, grated carrot and wholegrain rice. It was well cooked and fresh, it also tasted fine cold. The kimchi was even legit. I bought a mocha, after adding a spoon of raw sugar it tasted pretty decent. One of the best cafeterias at a kids place I've had. Unexpectedly good food and drinks.

food was okay, basic chips and nuggets - but they were a bit stingy on the sauce.. (its 25cents per extra packet and considering I paid $8.50 for a small cup it's quite questionable). the soy chicken bowl was very good and the coffee surprisingly was well made but the wait time was extremely long - especially during peak hours. Good luck finding a seat inside but overall edible food and nice service.
